Every year is a good year to read books by Asian authors, but especially when you’ve got the Year of the Asian Reading Challenge for extra motivation! I had a great time with YARC2019, so I’m really excited that it’s back.
Co-hosted by Vicky Who Reads, CW @ The Quiet Pond, Lily @ Sprinkles of Dreams, and Shealea @ Shut Up Shealea, the aim of this challenge is to read as many books written by Asian authors as you can! These books can be backlist titles (i.e. released in 2019 or earlier), new releases, and ARCs. We welcome books of any genre, any format, and any length. Check out the levels we have made for this challenge (drawn by CW!) and set your sights on a level you want to achieve.
We want this to be a relaxing and, above all else, fun challenge, so you can join in at any time in the year! The sign-up form will remain open until 2020 ends.
Last year I aimed for and reached the Bengali tiger badge, with 58 total books. This year I’m already signed up for a lot of reading challenges, so I’m aiming for the Giant Panda badge (31-40 books).
Current Progress: 1 / 31 books
Current Badge: Philippine tarsier
