Reading Horoscopes, Vol 1

Today I’m feeling insightful, so — just for fun — here are predictions on what kind of a reading month you’ll have, based on your zodiac sign.

A personal best is in store. You’ll beat your previous record for most books read in a month.

Quality over quantity is the mantra for your month: the books that you do read will be delightful.

You may find yourself jumping from title to title, especially if you’re a mood reader. So many books, so little time.

If you’re more of a fiction reader, April is the month to get into nonfiction. If you’re more of a nonfiction reader, give fiction a try. If you already read a mix of both, keep doing you.

Be on the lookout for the fictional protagonist that you relate too much to. (You came out to have a good time and you’re feeling so attacked right now.)

Mount TBR will look a lot smaller at the end of the month, because it’s no match for your determination.

You’ll soon find out that you can somehow fit another ten minutes of reading into your daily schedule. And that adds up.

That book really seemed like it was going to end a certain way, didn’t it? Surprise!

BRB, adding another fictional vacation spot — or ten — to your list of literary getaways.

As much as you hate when your reading slows down, it just might be worth discovering that priceless treasure: a new all-time favorite.

It’s a good time to revisit the book(s) that inspire you to write your own.

How can the same book make you want to rate it 1 star and 5 stars at the same time? You’re about to find out.

  • Love your horoscope for the month? Hate it? Ambivalent about it?
  • How does your horoscope square up with your reading based last week/month/year?
