Coffee Readathon (Potential) TBR

Look at me, showing up not-late with Starbucks for once in my life! (Though just so we’re clear, my “coffee” order is usually a tea latte. Or sometimes a seasonal frappucino.)

But anyway, I’m super excited to be joining the Coffee Readathon, hosted in September by Haley @ The Caffeinated Reader and Jayati @ It’s Just a Coffee Addicted Bibliophile. They’ve got fun coffee-themed prompts and a gorgeous rewards card, so make sure to check it out if you haven’t already!

Asian Readathon + Books and Tea Readathon TBRs

As my semester comes to a close, I’m on the hunt for ways to fill the time โ€” and, perhaps more importantly, for new goals to fulfill. In the past I’ve found readathons to be really great for meeting those purposes, so this month I’m going to try and complete the prompts for not just one but two of them.

Wish me luck!

Pondathon Wrap-Up

Now that the Battle for the Pond has ended, I wanted to take a moment and review my contributions (i.e., bookish and community-based accomplishments). It’s been such a fun adventure, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in such a unique, memorable readathon!

If you haven’t been keeping up with the Pondathon, the story begins with this post from CW @ The Quiet Pond. All Pondathon art was created by CW.

You can also check out my sign-up post (and meet Wei, Collector of Drafts) in my post here.

Joining the Pondathon

Am I already signed up for a bunch of reading challenges and readathons? Yes, of course.

Is that going to stop me from joining another one? No, of course.

CW @ The Quiet Pond has and still is clearly putting so much time and energy and care into designing and hosting this readathon, and it really shows! There are so many fun aspects โ€” from the narrative to customizable characters to side quests to the Discord server โ€” and I am so excited to get started.

#StartOnYourShelfathon: Goals, TBRs, and Star Maps

Hi, my name is Isabelle, and I hoard books. Kindle freebies, discounted titles, ARCs, gifts โ€” they all pile up alarmingly quickly. My priority owned TBR shelf currently stands at 191 titles. That’s almost as many books as I read in a year, so clearly something needs to be done before I drowned in unread owned books.

But never fear, #StartOnYourShelfathon is here!

#StartOnYourShelfathon is a 2020 star-themed readathon hosted and run by CW from The Quiet Pond. The aim of #StartOnYourShelfathon is to read as many unread books on your bookshelf as you can between December 13th 2019 and December 31st 2020.

The mascot of #StartOnYourShelfathon is Castor the Star Collector, a sloth friend of The Quiet Pond who has lost all the stars he has collected over the years. And he needs your help to find them again!

For every book that you read as part of #StartOnYourShelfathon, you collect a star that you can add to your โ€˜star mapโ€™. Read books, collect stars, give yourself an amateur star-collector name, and create constellations! You can read Castorโ€™s story and find information about and resources for the readathon here.

[The post banner, star map template, and stars were created by CW!]
