Pretty much what it says on the tin. More details below, if you want them.
Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.
Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it.– Neil Gaiman
Quite honestly, I’ve already missed a few days of the habits I’m working on. The month (year) is already imperfect so I am trying to embrace it as it is, rather than wishing it were better.
Before we get into the swing of 2021, let’s take a moment to look back at 2020
so that we can repress and bid it farewell forever. Okay, jokes aside, there were some highlights to my year that I wanted to recognize.
tl;dr Yup, I’m on hiatus again; I just have too many things to juggle right now. Though I don’t have posts scheduled this time, I might sporadically pop in with a tag or reading report, or to reply to comments.
Most likely I won’t be on Twitter, but you can still contact me through email or Discord; it just might take me some time to respond.
September was a thirty-days long goodbye to summer, to the season that left everybody both happy and weary of the warm, humid weather– Lea Malot
and the exhausting but thrilling adventures.*
I thought I was over the back-to-school hype, going into my senior year of undergrad, but it turns out having a set schedule, enforced deadlines, and (limited) social interaction is really good for my mental health.
Huh. Who’d’ve thunk? (Though it’s only been a couple of days so I reserve the right to retract this statement and pretend I never said it.)
AAAAAAAAAAA HOW IS IT THE START OF A NEW SEMESTER ALREADY.
But I can see us lost in the memory– Taylor Swift, “August”
August slipped away into a moment in time
‘Cause it was never mine
[Insert something witty about 2020 being a dumpster fire and/or time being a meaningless construct and/or my motivation / ability to focus being totally AWOL, because those have been the three predominant moods for the past few months.]
Another month down, five more to go. (Not that I was particularly productive in July but hey, it’s over now.)
