In February there is everything to hope for and nothing to regret.
– Patience Strong
After all the ups and downs of January, all I really want from this month is for my life to level out. Within a couple of weeks my schedule should be pretty well set ā not just my classes and work hours, but also how I allot my free time ā and that’ll hopefully allow me to just breathe and enjoy the ride.
Of course, that’s not to say I don’t have goals and plans for February!
Goals
Reading & Blogging
- Read 10 books (or half of total read count) for #StartOnYourShelfathon.
- Read 3 books for #YARC2020.
- Bloghop at least once a week.
- Schedule posts at least a week in advance.
- Get through review backlog for Dec 2019 and Jan 2020, plus any other ARCs.Ā
Academic/Career
- Apply for summer internships. (I know I’ve already missed the deadlines for some positions, but honestly I just didn’t have the bandwidth to worry about it until now.)
- Come up with possible topics for senior honors thesis for next year; also think about which professors I might ask to be my thesis adviser.
- Finish Spanish Duolingo.
Personal
- Get through 20-25 days of the 30-day Break Up With Your Phone plan.Ā
- Hang out with friends at least once a week, including one-on-one.
- Solidify night routine and fix sleep schedule.

Upcoming IRL
This week and onward, my extracurriculars and part-time job (I tutor at the on-campus writing center) will start to hit their stride. Which of course means I’ll be much busier, but these commitments have lasted through the years because these are the things that I genuinely love to do. Totally worth it.
But I don’t have much in terms of specific dates and events, at least not yet. Surprise me, February!

I really can’t wait to read the Hunger Games Prequel coming out in May and I’m hoping to cut through some of my physical books next month, as, I got way too many eARCs to get through for now lol
