While planning out posts for the next few months, I came across this tag from Haley @ The Caffeinated Reader. Not only did it look fun and relatively easy to write, it also gave me a nudge to declutter my TBR shelves 😅
(This post was written before I went on hiatus, so in the meantime I may have read or unhauled some of these books. But when this post was scheduled, all of these were owned-to-read titles, per the rules below!)
.
Rules:
- Name a book title from your TBR for every letter of the alphabet (can exclude words like ‘the’ if need be); these must be books that you have copies of and not ones you intend on getting but haven’t yet.
- Try and include different authors for every single one.
- At the bottom of your list put how many you could fill in (out of 26).
- Tag other people to join in and link back to the person who tagged you!
A – An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green
B – The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
C – Code Name Verity by Elizabeth E. Wein
D – The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
E – Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
F – The Fever King by Victoria Lee
G – Girl Made of Stars by Ashley Herring Blake
H – Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality by Eliezer Yudkowsky
I – If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio
J – Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren
K – King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
L – The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch
M – Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie
N – Notes on a Nervous Planet by Matt Haig
O – One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey
P – Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods by Rick Riordan
Q – Quests for Glory by Soman Chainani
R – Rebel Seoul by Axie Oh
S – Seven Tears at High Tide by C.B. Lee
T – The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith
U – Uprooted by Naomi Novik
V – Vassa in the Night by Sarah Porter
W – Why I Wake Early by Mary Oliver
X – [none]
Y – Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes
Z – Zen in the Art of Writing by Ray Bradbury
The first time through, I went purely off memory and filled in 17 titles; the second time through, I consulted my read-next shelf and added 8 titles, for a grand total of 25/26.
Tagging: Ruby • Jayati • Kristina • Crimson • Para • and, as always, anyone else who wants to participate!
This seems like a quick and easy tag to do!

I finally bought The Lies of Locke Lamora because everyone screams about it so much (I mean, mostly Shanah @ Bionic Bookworm, but other people too)!!
25 is pretty impressive!! I don’t think I could get past W… 🤔

yes I’ve heard so many good things about Lies of Locke Lamora! and certain letters were definitely harder, especially if I only had one matching title on my shelf and I couldn’t remember it off the top of my head 😅

ikr, I’ve always thought the letter X was fun since it’s uncommon, but it’s a real pain when it comes to stuff like this!

it seems to be a pretty polarizing read, but it’s been a pretty good reading year for me so I’m definitely optimistic!

You have so many good books on your TBR and I have quite a few of them on mine as well.
I own King of Scars, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s nest and I hope I can read them soon!
