I’m trying to limit the number of challenges I enter, at least for the start of the year; I’ve only committed to three five thus far. But Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction made a masterlist of 2019 reading challenges and they all look amazing, so I may jump on some more later in the year!

This will be my third year entering (and hopefully winning!) the Goodreads challenge; I’ve increased my goal both times I’ve done it so far, so although I’m starting lower than I achieved last year, I’ll reevaluate during the summer and raise it if it seems reasonable. It’s the easiest challenge because all you have to do is finish books. Rereads, ARCs, manga, textbooks: everything’s fair game.

UPDATE Aug 2019: Though I reached my goal this month, I’ve decided not to increase it since the fall semester is fast approaching and I don’t feel the need to add to my own stress.

I didn’t plan the 50-book incremental decreases for this reading challenge post, it just worked out that way, but I’m digging it 😂 (You can’t really tell anymore because I put the bingos and #YARC in the middle of the post; but the progression exists for my original three challenges — Goodreads, Beat the Backlist, and PopSugar — and I enjoyed it.)
